Following the release of his highly praised studio album Loner, as well as a huge run of festivals dates here in North America, electronic artist Barry Can’t Swim has shared two remixes of fan-favorite singles and standout tracks “Different” and “All My Friends,” “Different (SBTRKT Sirens Remix)” and “All Of My Friends (ATRIP Remix)”.

“Different (SBTRKT Sirens Remix)” remix serves as a twist on the club-hit “Different,” which quickly became a staple for fans at Barry’s notoriously energetic live shows, while the bright and summery “All My Friends” showcases his talent as both a producer and songwriter.

The pressure to follow up his widely successful breakout record When Will We Land? was high for Barry Can’t Swim, but he managed to exceed every expectation and establish himself as “one of the most interesting and essential dance artists of the moment,” as Billboard has claimed. Loner sees Barry at his most refined, authentic, and reflective, as he grapples with navigating changes brought on by his rapidly evolving career. The highly emotive content of the album is enhanced by Barry’s choices as a producer, each one made with purpose and a vision to drive the feeling further.

Loner invites the audience to enter his world and dance, move, and feel along with him. His recent performances at impressive festivals including Lollapalooza, Osheaga, and HARD Summer have showcased the magic of experiencing Loner live. Barry will continue on the road through 2025, playing festivals in the UK, Europe, and returning to the US with a set at III Points in Miami. With this honor, Barry joins the ranks of Aphex Twin, Nia Archives, Burial, Jamie xx, and Jon Hopkins as one of the few solo electronic artists to receive a nomination for the prestigious award.

Further cementing his breakout year, Barry was nominated for Best Dance Act at the 2024 BRIT Awards, shortlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year award, and earned a top-three spot on the BBC’s Sound of 2025 list.
