bby shares new single ‘u come near’
Hot on the heels of a string of incredible singles, bby are back today with another huge track with ‘u come near’. The prolific alt band from East London have been showering us with their off-kilter killer music since their debut ‘hotline’ in August, follow up ‘money body’, and last month’s ‘gold teeth & fenty’.
‘u come near’ is another banger from the rising stars; a stone-cold shot in the arm of high energy fun replete with distorted guitars and fuzzed up vocals – no one is quite doing it like bby right now who already have fans in the likes of Pigeons and Planes, Billboard, DIY, Dork, NME and more.

‘hotline’ kicked things off perfectly and just continues to grow. The single was BBC Radio 1’s Introducing Track of the Week, was featured on Jack Saunders’ BBC Radio 1’s Future Alternative + Sirius XM’s ALT NATION as a CRITICAL CUT and supported by Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Travis Mills + Matt Wilkinson as well as press props across the tastemaker world. The track also continues to climb up the USA Alt Radio charts, showing no signs of stopping. The diy music video was shot in their HQ and harked back to the days of sweaty, crowd surfing, house party punk shows. The most recent hang just a few weeks ago was jam packed and featured an appearance from Hemlocke Springs.
A five piece band on a mission to infiltrate your world with their alternative, fun flecked sounds, the nucleus of bby is their East London HQ. Writing, developing and producing their own music, alongside abundant good times, has become their focus for the future. They spent their summer hosting hangs at their collaborative space, as well as performing at All Points East in support of The Strokes and Haim, and playing a packed show at Leeds festival. Recently, bby played at both Omeara and Dingwalls in London, iconic venues where bby continued to showcase their electric live show to their growing fanbase.
Benjy (vocals), Jessy (guitar), Tommy (guitar), Deon (bass), Tom (drums) all met on the internet – with a couple of them having formerly played with Husky Loops and Master Peace. From hip hop to RnB to alt and an array of alternative sounds therein – bby pull their influences together with confidence to make music that sounds like the moment; a union of mixed musical tastes from which bby was born.
