BECAUSE MUSIC ANNOUNCES LIVESTREAM SCHEDULE FOR 20th ANNIVERSARY EVENT
Because Music marks its 20th anniversary with Because Beaubourg, a landmark two-day takeover of the Centre Pompidou before the museum closes for five years of renovation. For 48 hours, the label’s artists and collaborators will transform the building’s eight floors into a celebration of sound, art, and experimentation — and fans around the world can experience it all live via a special broadcast on https://becausebeaubourg.lnk.to/livestream.
The livestream will feature exclusive performances and conversations spanning Because Music’s two-decade history, including sets from friends, collaborators, and new voices shaping its future. Highlights include performances from Shygirl, Christine and the Queens, spill tab, Keziah Jones, and more, plus DJ sets from Pedro Winter, Myd, Sofia Kourtesis, and Erol Alkan.
Beyond the livestream, in-person visitors to the Centre Pompidou will experience a full weekend of multidisciplinary programming across all eight floors. The museum will host immersive installations by Shay, The Limiñanas & SMITH, and Ed Banger 100% Cotton, live workshops from Mix With The Masters, film screenings featuring Daft Punk, Justice, Manu Chao, and Les Rita Mitsouko, and a family-focused Children’s Village exploring art and architecture through play. Talks and exhibitions will unfold throughout the building, culminating in a roller disco takeover by La Main Jaune on the top floor.
