SHYGIRL CELEBRATES 5 YEARS OF ALIAS EP

British multidisciplinary artist Shygirl celebrates the five-year anniversary of her critically acclaimed EP, ALIAS, transforming the record’s core themes—identity, intimacy, and distortion—into a multisensory environment; a series of body-inspired installations where anatomy, sound, and memory intertwine.
The multi-media installation will be on show at the Centre Pompidou in Paris on October 24-25 as part of the Because Beaubourg event which marks both the 20th birthday of the record label and the closing of the building for 5 years of renovation. The exhibition will be on the 4th floor of the Pompidou center and free for all to visit from 11am – 5pm on both Friday 24 & Saturday 25 October.
Released in 2020, ALIAS marked a defining moment in Shygirl’s genre-blurring career. The project earned widespread praise, with Pitchfork calling it “a glittering light, a portal into the future”and NME describing it in a 4-star review as “a maximalist joyride beamed in from the cyber-rave dancefloors of 2080.”
Shygirl will be releasing special reissue editions of the vinyl record, including an exclusive slimed-filled vinyl via Blood Records.
