Billy Porter’s Uplifting and Radiant New Single “Leap” Out Now
BILLY PORTER’S NEW MOTIVATIONAL ANTHEM AHEAD OF
JUNETEENTH & PRIDE MONTH CELEBRATIONS

At a crucial moment, global sensation and innovative trailblazer Billy Porter presents his new single, “Leap”. The song emerges as an ideal motivational anthem in anticipation of Juneteenth and Pride month celebrations. “Leap” offers a sneak peek into the upcoming Black Mona Lisa Vol. 2: The Cookout Sessions EP.
Billy Porter shares about the song, “I always strive to use my art as a healing tool. Music is the universal language. We are living in challenging times, and I wrote ‘Leap’ alongside the late genius Andrea Martin to inspire love across all races, creeds, identities, and value systems. Welcome to the cookout!”
Produced by longtime collaborator Lofey (Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Chris Brown), and penned by the late legendary songwriter Andrea Martin (Monica, Toni Braxton, En Vogue), “Leap” encapsulates a classic R&B rhythm and unforgettable melody designed to inspire. “How you gonna LEAP just standing there?” Billy sings in the chorus, embracing his role as a role model to millions. “Better go leap, instead of standing there!”
Billy Porter has made a significant impact during Pride month. Earlier this week, he hosted iHeartRadio’s “Can’t Cancel Pride” special, broadcasted on Hulu and iHeartRadio platforms. During the special, he accepted the 2024 Elton John Impact Award and performed “Leap”. Billy has shone as the Grand Marshal and Headline performer at a series of Pride festivals this month, including a performance for over 50,000 people at DC Capital Pride just last week.
Next, he will take the stage at Nashville Pride on June 23, followed by San Francisco’s Pride Festival on June 30, where he promises to deliver an unforgettable headline set. He will then cross the Atlantic to perform at Brighton Pride in the UK on August 3.
Showing no signs of slowing down, he is set to launch the Black Mona Lisa UK Tour in the fall. The tour begins on October 18 in Swansea, Wales at Swansea Arena, travels across the country, and concludes on October 28 in Brighton, England at Brighton Dome. The UK tour also includes a stop at the historic Palladium, which has hosted many iconic performers including Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, and contemporary artists like Adele and Ed Sheeran.
