BKTHERULA UNVEILS A SURREAL, DREAMWORLD VISION IN NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “DELILAH”
Never one to play by the rules, Atlanta’s rising force Bktherula taps into a cinematic and dreamlike universe with her new single “DELILAH”, out now via Warner Records. The single opens up a new era of vulnerability and vision for Bk as she airs out some heavy feelings about love and lust.
Floating between heartbreak and healing, “DELILAH” captures Bk at her rawest yet. Over a woozy, bass-heavy soundscape, she flips the pain of betrayal into a trippy, melodic kiss-off: “I’m finna find the next baddest b*tch don’t look like you / And tell the world that she was just my type, my favorite boo.” In true Bk fashion, the track shatters genre lines — weaving rage, sadness, and divine liberation into one hypnotic wave.
Directed by visual maverick MOSHPXT, the video feels like stepping inside Bk’s lucid dream. Sporting a bold new platinum blonde look, she moves through swirling forests, open oceans, and mirror dimensions where every version of herself is free, wild, and unapologetic. It’s a vivid glimpse inside the mind of an artist who refuses to be boxed in — and who’s creating her own rules.
Speaking about the emotional backdrop for “DELILAH,” Bk shares, “for five years, I kept chasing a flame that never caught. It took heartbreak, distance, and finding real love in Paris to finally realize: not everyone is meant to come with you. Some chapters close for a reason.”
“DELILAH” caps off a major run for Bktherula, who made serious noise across music, fashion, and culture in 2024. From being profiled in Forbes’ prestigious 30 Under 30, to starring in a global Marc Jacobs campaign, to lighting up Rolling Loud with one of the festival’s most buzzed-about performances — Bk’s momentum is undeniable. She also hit the road for national and international tours, including a standout stint on PinkPantheress’ Capable of Love Tour and her own I Just Wanna Be Me Tour, leaving a trail of rave reviews and new fans in her wake.
A voice for the bold, the LGBTQ+ community, and the genre-agnostic generation, Bktherula continues to push boundaries with every move she makes. And with more new music brewing — and a full project set to arrive in 2025 — “DELILAH” is just the first flash of what’s about to be her boldest era yet.
