Platinum-selling South London artist Cat Burns unveils two brand new singles, “people pleaser” and “sleep at night”, out now via Sony Music UK/RCA Records.

The fan favorite “people pleaser” overflows with warm vocal harmonies and uplifting guitar chords. Meanwhile, “sleep at night” is a soaring ballad and one of her most profound songs to date, depicting Cat overcoming hardships.

Of the new releases, Cat says “‘people pleaser’ is what it says on the tin, my struggles with being a people pleaser and why I am one. ‘sleep at night’ is a really personal song for me; it’s about being deeply hurt and wronged by someone but deciding to take the high road and not say anything bad about them because you’re a good person.”

A phenomenal year for the star-in-waiting, 2022 saw the release of Cat’s six-track emotionally unavailable EP, which includes the BRIT certified platinum-selling single “go.” The viral heartbreak anthem peaked at #2on the UK charts and became a permanent fixture in the Top 10 of the Official Singles Chart for 17 weeks. Following the success of “go,” Cat joined forces with multi-award-winning artist Sam Smith for a special version, which the two performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Cat was also recently announced as a Spotify Global RADAR artist, joining the likes of Griff, Pink Pantheress, Beabadoobee, and more.

Cat made her mark on the live stage this summer, having recently supported Ed Sheeran on the European leg of his Mathematics Tour. Handpicked by the global superstar, Cat performed to sold-out crowds, gaining a new legion of fans across the continent. Next year, she will reunite with Ed, supporting him on the North American leg of his tour next summer.
