CHIEF KEEF AND MUSTARD DROP NEW SINGLE “SHAKE DAT”

Rap sensation Chief Keef and GRAMMY® Award-winning, multi-platinum producer and artist Mustard dropped their highly anticipated, full version of “Shake Dat” via BMG and Roc Nation.

Snippets of “Shake Dat” began trending across social media just last month and has since earned over 170k TikTok creates setting social media ablaze with fans calling for the song’s official release. “Shake Dat” centers on a sample from legendary 2000’s rap duo Ying Yang Twins hit single “Whistle While You Twurk”. 

“Shake Dat” features an infectious verse from Chief Keef, who’s continued to evolve and push rap forward with every release. He most recently released his highly-anticipated album Almighty So 2, the sequel to one of Sosa’s most acclaimed and influential projects, 2013’s Almighty So via his own label, 43B, formed last year in a joint venture with BMG. Almighty So 2 earned Best New Music honors from Pitchfork (8.4), along with glowing praise and “Album of the Year” support from Rolling Stone, The FADER, Associated Press, Vulture and many more. It also made its debut on the Billboard charts at number three Independent Albums, number nine Top Rap Albums, number 10 Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, number 26 Top Streaming Albums, and number 30 on the Billboard 200. Chief Keef made hislong awaited return to Chicago, performing his first show in his hometown since 2012, at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash. Chief Keef followed his Chicago show up with his North American tour ‘A Lil Tour’.

Mustard has had an outstanding year since the release of the highly acclaimed, Mustard produced, Kendrick Lamar single “Not Like Us.” The single peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 notably becoming Mustard’s first #1 produced hit. “Not Like Us” also broke the record for the biggest single-day streams of a hip hop song in Spotify history and spent a record breaking 53 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the longest-charting rap song in the history of the respective chart. Mustard then went on to produce “hey now” and “tv off” on Lamar’s fifth studio album GNX, and most recently wrapped the European leg of the ‘Grand National Tour’ with Lamar and SZA where he opened each stadium show with a DJ set. Mustard also recently produced Don Toliver’s hit single “FWU” and collaborated with HEINZ for the release of his limited edition HEINZ MUSTAAAAAARD honey chipotle sauce, notably marking the first innovation for HEINZ Mustard in nearly a decade.
