CHIEF KEEF SELLS OUT HOMETOWN CHICAGO SHOW AS “CHIEF KEEF LIVE 2026” TOUR BEGINS
Chief Keef has officially sold out the opening night of his “Chief Keef Live 2026” tour, marking a major hometown moment for the Chicago-born rap icon. Taking place September 12 at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island, the sold-out performance will launch his 19-date national tour and mark his first Chicago headlining show in years, as well as his first nationwide headlining run since 2024. With the remaining tour dates set to go on public sale, the hometown sellout signals the continued demand for one of hip-hop’s most influential artists to return to the stage.
The sold-out hometown show returns Chief Keef to the city where his career began more than fifteen years ago. Widely credited with pioneering the Chicago drill sound, his return to headline his hometown carries particular significance, arriving just weeks after his 31st birthday and following a sustained period of critical and commercial momentum.
“Chief Keef Live 2026” will travel to major markets nationwide, including Minneapolis, Detroit, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, before concluding October 28 at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. The set will span Chief Keef’s expansive catalog, from Finally Rich staples like “Love Sosa” to material from his latest mixtape, Skeletor, with surprise guest appearances expected throughout the tour.
A DEFINING YEAR
Chief Keef enters the tour following a period of significant creative and commercial momentum. His 2024 album Almighty So 2 debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart and No. 9 on Top Rap Albums, and was named among the best releases of 2024 by Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The New Yorker, Complex, and Dazed. Rolling Stone also named Finally Rich one of the 200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums of All Time, underscoring Chief Keef’s continued influence on the genre.
