CHIQUIS WRAPS UP A 2023 FULL OF ACHIEVEMENTS, NEW MUSIC AND SOLD-OUT CONCERTS

Regional Mexican superstar, CHIQUIS, is wrapping up yet another successful year. 2023 has been one of her best years with the release of two albums (Chiquis En Vivo Desde Lunario Ciudad De México and Bee Side), multiple sold-out concerts on her Abeja Reina Part II Tour through Mexico and the United States, singles that underscored her versatility and a #1 radio single in Mexico.

The year kicked off with Chiquis attending the 2023 GRAMMY Awards, where she was nominated for “Best Regional Mexican Music Album” for Abeja Reina, which had already won the 2022 Latin GRAMMY for “Best Banda Album”. Chiquis also earned a nomination for the Ambies Awards in the “Best Wellness and Interpersonal Relationships Podcast” category for her popular podcast “Chiquis and Chill,”; five nominations for Premio Lo Nuestro, two Premios Juventud nomination, and a nomination for Best Regional Mexican Artist at the Latin AMAs. She delivered two spectacular live television performances at the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards and Premios Juventud.

She released her second corrido, “Porque Soy Abeja Reina,” which reached #1 on popular radio in Mexico according to Monitor Latino. Chiquis recently launched her new production, Bee Side, the continuation of her award-winning album Abeja Reina.
The Abeja Reina Tour Part II in Mexico and the United States was a resounding success, featuring sold-out shows in both countries. Highlights include her performance at the inaugural ARRE Festival in Mexico, attended by over 45,000 people, and her first sold-out show at the Lunario theater in Mexico City in March, which lasted over two hours and led to the release of her first live album, Chiquis En Vivo Desde Lunario Ciudad De México, featuring over 30 tracks.
Other collabs in 2023 include Chiquis joining forces with artists such as country music artist Dani Rose for “Got it From My Mama” (Remix); “Ni Muerta” with rapper Snow Tha Product, and co-writing new single “La Que Manda” with Carla Morrison— all included in Bee Side.

Bee Side adds to the music experience that began with Abeja Reina. Her sixth album includes genres such as banda, mariachi, country and includes fusions such as electro-cumbia, electro pop-urban, rap (perreo-electronic) and also the Spanglish touch that comes from Chiquis’ cultural background. The album’s intro, outro, and each interlude convey messages of strength, empowerment, love, light, and gratitude, narrated by the artist herself for her loyal boss bees.

Chiquis had other significant collabs in 2023, such as “Cuidadito” with her dear friend Becky G, “Lo Que No Sirve, Estorba” with Colombian artist Paola Jara, “Me Mocho Un Huevo” with Uziel Payan, and “Pedacito de Mí” alongside her sisters Jacquie and Jenicka, delivering an emotional performance during the Twentieth Annual Premios Juventud in honor of their mother, Jenni Rivera. Chiquis also released a cumbia version of hit pop song “Sólo Quédate En Silencio” with Aaron Y Su Grupo Ilusión and collaborated with Grupo Los Rojos on the banda version of “Este Corazón”—two special releases for the Rebelde generation.
In April, she graced the cover of the renowned Mexican magazine Estilo DF, captivating fans and readers with her unique beauty. As an entrepreneur, Chiquis launched her new entertainment content production company, Busy Bee Productions, in partnership with producer Sebastian Jimenez and manager Richard Bull, with offices in Studio City, California.
Chiquis is coming even stronger in 2024 with more music, business ventures, and live performances to captivate audiences, and a commitment to leaving a positive mark on the music industry, sharing her light and voice with the world.
