On Sunday, June 18, 2023, Three incredible bands gifted Philadelphia with the show of a lifetime. and if you missed it, don’t worry… I’m here to tell you how it all went down.

The legendary Foundry venue here in Philadelphia was honored to host the 9th stop of the Wavves, Cloud Nothings and UltraQ tour. The bands have their hands full over the next few weeks of summer touring and hitting all 22 stops all along the United States. However, there’s still time to snag a ticket in your city!

Starting us off, all the way from California we had the amazing band UltraQ hit the ground running for an energetic, upbeat performance that got the entire crowd’s heads nodding, hands clapping and feet stomping. The band headlined the show with some oldies, some newbies and everything in between. They rocked the whole place with their newest hit “Rocket” from their latest album which just debuted in late April of this year. These incredibly talented 4 lads (Jakob, Enzo, Chris and Kevin) really set the precedent of what to expect for the rest of the night.

Next up, we had Cloud Nothings which did not disappoint one bit. All the way from Cleveland they continued the momentum with their energy and passion. They gave us a creative blend of all their music with their performance.  Including their smash hit No future/no past from their 2012 album, Attack On Memory.

The guys filled their fans with emotion and gave the audience a sweet taste of nostalgia with their other notably loved songs such as Separation, No Sentiment and of course ending with a bang … Wasted Days. Between Jayson on the drums, Chris on the bass and Dylan leading vocals and guitar; you were sure to have been pumping up your fist and shout along every word to their songs.

Last up but certainly not least, we had the honor of seeing Wavves hit the stage. These very talented men got the entire crowd moving and dancing with their most loved hits Way Too Much, Idiot, and King of the Beach. At this point in the show, we all know we’re about to indulge in some of the most exciting songs to scream at the top of your lungs to and have the whole entire audience floor on fire. Nate, Stephen, Alex, and Ross absolutely took over the stage with their charged-up energy felt throughout the entire crowd.

Songs from their newest albums were played and yet not one beat was missed. The music was felt throughout the entire crowd who was shouting along the band with each passing song that played. The high notes from Nate captured every single person in the crowd to sing along to.  During the last song of the night Nate had even asked the audience for crowd pleasing participation by splitting the crowd down the middle of the floor and having the middle of the floor open to “kiss” a.k.a code to begin a mosh pit. These guys really can put on a show, if you haven’t already, go purchase a ticket to come to the next show in your city!

This is going in the history books as some of the best rock bands on the rise with a promising future to take over the world. All I have to say is, see you at the next show!
