COUNTRY-POP ARTIST ANELLA ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE “NEVER LEFT”
Country-pop singer-songwriter and rapper, Anella debuts his latest single “Never Left”, out now via Def Jam Recordings. The new track reflects on an old flame left behind in his hometown, capturing the nostalgia, heartbreak, and permanence of memories that linger long after moving on.
Built on acoustic guitar layered with electronic synths and rhythmic drum grooves, “Never Left” tugs at the heartstrings and highlights Anella’s lyrical vulnerability. With lyrics like “I wish you never changed your mind to me it was perfect / I cant lie I miss who you were when I still played shows at Boxcar for work I guess that part of me never left” Anella goes back in time to a significant and nostalgic moment that left a scar on his heart.
“Never Left” follows Anella’s introspective single “Something It’s Not,” and continues the momentum from his full-length project 831: The Series, released in May 2025. The album featured collaborations with Hunxho and 2 Chainz and built on the success of his breakout singles “Don’t HMU” – which went viral and peaked at #10 on Spotify’s US Viral 50 Chart. His other fan-favorite track “Lock N Key” further expanded his audience with a viral freestyle performance debut on On The Radar – their first country performance on the platform – as well as From The Block which garnered 20 million views across platforms collectively.
With over 350k monthly Spotify listeners (and growing) and more than 31 million total streams, Anella has quickly become one of Def Jam’s most unique and promising young artists.
