“The visible effect made on a surface by pressure”

David Byrne praises this Nashville sextet

In a 2019 episode of Rick Rubin, Malcolm Gladwell, and Bruce Headlam’s Broken Record Podcast, David Byrne praised Nashville sextet Delta Rae, while discussing modern day protest songs. He commends their track “Hands Dirty,” which is a spirited call to action about how hard woman work and persevere in a corrupt system.

It’s just another cosign from a well-respected artist (Pharrell, Keith Urban, Kenny Rogers, Melissa Etheridge, etc), for one of the most exciting groups to come out of Nashville. Delta Rae is starting 2020 strong with the release of their forthcoming album The Light on 3.20 and embarking on their Northeast tour 4.9.
