Dreamville’s Ari Lennox Announces The Shea Butter Baby Tour

Soulful singer-songwriter Ari Lennox is hitting the road. The first lady of Dreamville’s Shea Butter Baby Tour will travel to 20 major cities across the US. The month-long outing will kick off in Phoenix mid-May and conclude in her hometown of Washington D.C. mid-June. Tickets will be available to purchase this Friday, March 29 at 10:00am local time. 

 

Lennox’s scorching “Shea Butter Baby” single featuring J. Cole was released late last year on the Creed II: The Album soundtrack. The accompanying visual, helmed recently by director Bennett Johnson, has surpassed 6 million views on YouTube in less than four weeks. View HERE.

 

Inspired by some of the greatest female vocalists of all time: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Minnie Riperton and Whitney Houston, Ari Lennox characterizes her own voice as “vulnerable and soulful; imperfect but pretty.”

 

Since signing with Dreamville four years ago, the self-described “new soul” singer has built up an impressive catalogue of signature songs that include “Whipped Cream,” “Backseat,” and “GOAT.” Her debut EP, Pho, was released in October 2016 to critical acclaim. Lennox recently finished recording her first full-length album which is due out this Spring.
