Disney On Ice

Disney on Ice made their debut yesterday at Philips Arena this past Thursday, February 15th. It is produced by Feld Entertainment which is also responsible for other productions such as Monster Jam, Disney Live, and Sesame Street Live. With that being said you already know the show couldn’t have been anything short of spectacular.
The show is packed with a ton of Disney movies, both classic and new alike. Micky, Minnie, Donald and Goofy go on a treasure hunt while refreshing our memories of the Disney stories we loved as children. They take us on journeys in the Lion King, Snow White, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Toy Story just to name a few.
There are so many different aspects that work well together making the show all that it is. The ice skaters are extremely talented and execute stunts perfectly while truly embodying the personalities of our favorite Disney characters. The costumes are very creative as well. They are replicated nicely but also have a twist at the same time to still make it possible for the ice skaters to perform.
My favorite costumes would have to be the ones in Aladdin. I must say the colors and jewels glistened beautifully under the stage lights.
The show was very interactive with the audience, which is expected since the audience consists mostly of families. The goal is to give the children the best possible Disney experience and I think Feld Entertainment achieved in doing that. Its safe to say that the sound of excitement and joy resonates throughout the arena as children see their favorite characters come to life.
If you haven’t caught Feld Entertainment’s Disney on Ice, don’t fret because you still have time. There are show dates up until Monday, February 19. Tickets and times are available at philipsarena.com. It would be the perfect family outing this weekend!
