E-40, Cousin Fik & Hitta Slim To Form “The Assembly” & Release Self-Titled, Joint Album

E-40 teamed up with Cousin Fik and Hitta Slim to form their rap group, The Assembly, and release their self-titled album via Sick Wid It Records and Timeless Master Ent, which is currently available to stream on all platforms.

The trio released the 10-song album that includes raw, unfiltered convergence of voices rooted in the Bay’s code: hustle, independence, and staying ten toes no matter the pressure. Across the project, the trio moves with intention and urgency, delivering records that showcase constant motion, from back-to-back plays in box Chevys to late-night plays drawn up with no brakes, all gas.

The new project comes after The Assembly previously released “The Game (feat Stresmatic)” as their first single as a group. The song was a preview of the group’s sound, which is full of heavy basslines, trunk-rattling knocks, and a dominant cadence.

Although E-40 dropped a collaborative album with Cousin Fik and Hitta Slim, the multiplatinum artist and entrepreneur continues to diligently work on his next solo, double-disc album. In February 2026, he appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show to unveil the artwork for both projects and showed off his dance moves as part of the show’s viral spirit tunnel.

The Bay Area native is also celebrating the 20-year anniversary of his illustrious album, My Ghetto Report Card, which featured smash hits such as “Tell Me When To Go,” “U and Dat,” and more. He also set off 2026 with a thunderous performance of his signature hit at the NFL Honors, which aired live on Peacock and NFL Network.

E-40 is currently on the road with TechN9ne as part of the “Strange Wid It Tour,” marking his first full-length tour in over a decade.
