EARTHGANG release new single “Cool Me Down” (feat. NATURE) for New York Climate Week

Atlanta duo EARTHGANG have released “Cool Me Down” (feat. NATURE), a new single Olu and WowGr8 wrote and recorded in response to the extreme heat of the climate crisis. They built the sonics of the song from sounds of the natural world and credited NATURE on the release, making them the first major Hip-Hop act to do so, and Sounds Right directs a share of its royalties to projects working on the climate emergency. The hook begs for relief while the verses turn a 98-degree night into a party, with hips rolling like ocean waves and a crowd that won’t leave until it’s over. “Cool Me Down” lands on the first day of New York Climate Week, after one of the hottest and driest summers on record for much of the world and amid predictions that 2027 could run hotter still. EARTHGANG is take it to United Nations Headquarters for a speaking and playback session during the UN General Assembly, backed by billboards in Times Square, on-platform promotion from Spotify, and further events and activations to come. In the words of EARTHGANG:

“Cool Me Down” leads Sounds Right’s collection of Climate Week releases and extends a run EARTHGANG opened in October 2024 with the release of their first independent album as a duo, PERFECT FANTASY, which closed their EARTHGANG vs. The Algorithm series with features from Pharrell, T-Pain, Snoop Dogg and Damon Albarn. They subsequently spent fall 2025 on the road with T-Pain and Armani White for TP20: Celebrating 20 Years of T-Pain, started 2026 with “Look Into My Eyes”, a collaboration and video with Of The Trees, and played KASSO FEST in Long Beach in March.

Launched in April 2024, Sounds Right is led by the Museum for the United Nations – UN Live and EarthPercent, the environmental charity co-founded by Brian Eno, with support from global charitable foundation Wellcome. The initiative established NATURE as a credited artist on major streaming platforms, with her royalties going to frontline conservation, and has now raised over $1M for Indigenous and community-led conservation in areas including the Tropical Andes, Amazon and Congo Basin. Alongside EARTHGANG, the Climate Week collection carries new music from Japanese folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ichiko Aoba, Los Angeles singer, producer and DJ Shallou, London musician and artist Josephine Illingworth, children’s hip-hop group Alphabet Rockers and Nordic ambient collective Halo Music.
