ESPN delivers its second most-watched regular season WNBA game ever!

ESPN delivered its second most-watched regular season WNBA game ever as the Indiana Fever-Minnesota Lynx matchup averaged 2.5 million viewers on ABC on Sunday, August 2.

The matchup was also ESPN’s third most-viewed WNBA game on record, including both regular season and playoff games. The audience was up 77 percent vs. last year’s ABC regular season average.

Leading into the matchup, WNBA Countdown presented by Google Pixel averaged 818,000 viewers on ABC, an increase of 20 percent year-over-year.

Through 19 games, the WNBA on ESPN networks is averaging 1.2 million viewers, up five percent from the 2025 WNBA season average on ESPN networks.

ESPN’s WNBA coverage continues this weekend with three games across ABC and ESPN. On Saturday, August 8, the Indiana Fever visit the Chicago Sky at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. On Sunday, August 9, the Las Vegas Aces visit the New York Liberty at 12:30 p.m. on ABC, followed by the Golden State Valkyries traveling to the Los Angeles Sparks at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
