EXCLUSIVE SONG FOR THE MUTE X ADIDAS SHADOWTURF HONEYCOMB RE RELEASE AND NEW ‘TRIPLE BLACK’ COLOURWAY

The third joint collection by Song for the Mute x adidas brings a sense of nostalgia with a modern twist. This release, focusing solely on footwear, continues to embody this blend of old and new.
Drawing inspiration from the natural color scheme and contrasting textures of Song for the Mute’s mainline collections, the ‘SFTM-001’ Shadowturf in ‘Honeycomb’ makes a comeback. In reflection of the success of the inaugural Song for the Mute x adidas Originals collaboration, the ‘SFTM-001’ in ‘Honeycomb’ is set for a global re-release.
The Shadowturf style, exclusively redesigned by Song for the Mute for the second joint release, makes a return in ‘Triple Black’. It preserves original elements such as tonal upper mesh detailing, contrasting three-stripes, reflective components, signature zig-zag stitching, and collaborative handwritten branding. Additional distressing throughout the ‘Triple Black’ colorway further extends Song for the Mute’s exploration of the Shadowturf silhouette.

For the campaign, Photographer Atsushi ‘Jima’ Nishijima and Stylist Stephen Mann team up again, capturing spontaneous moments to create a unique energy. Their natural approach to photography allows them to capture candid moments of models off-duty on film sets – emphasizing the beauty of the unplanned.
The Song for the Mute x adidas Shadowturf ‘Honeycomb’ and ‘Triple Black’ release will be available in-store and online at songforthemute.com on June 20th, 2024. Participating global stockists will release the collaboration on June 21st, 2024.
