On October 10th, Extortionist will release their new album, Stare Into The Seething Wounds, via Unique Leader Records. While known for their harrowing metal sound that they began playing in their inception, Extortionist matures into their final form with this upcoming record, by invoking a fresh, and intentionally unique sound. Listen to their new single, “The Break I Couldn’t Mend”.

Extortionist comments: “We are extremely excited to be releasing ‘The Break I Couldn’t Mend’. We feel that this is one of the highlights on the new record and captures both aspects of Extortionist’s sound perfectly.”

Extortionist is the raw, relentless pulse of the Pacific Northwest—a band born in the shadow of rain-soaked evergreens by way of Coeur D’Alene. Forged from the grime of the PNW’s rural landscape and the quiet fury of coastal solitude, Extortionist channels haunting harmonies in the likes of Alice in Chains while fully capturing the visceral aggression of Slipknot – creating a sound that is both familiar and fiercely their own.

While many artists attempt to replicate the iconic sound of the 90s grunge and 00s metal, very few raise the bar to where Extortionist’s album, Stare Into the Seething Wounds, will take you. Weaving heavy riffs, layered vocals, and daunting cadences together, their music crafts a brooding atmosphere that feels like a weight in one’s chest.

Known for their historic influence on various genres, the band has toured with the likes of Lorna Shore, Attila, and Bodysnatcher — but also, has supported artists such as KING810. Now, shortly after Stare Into the Seething Wounds’ release, Extortionist will support Fox Lake across the PNW – see below for all dates!
