FendiDa Rappa Shares New Single ‘Show Dat’

Fresh off a hometown performance with frequent collaborator GloRilla during Megan Thee Stallion’s sold-out Hot Girl Summer Tour show at Chicago’s United Center, FendiDa Rappa has just shared her new single “Show Dat” along with an accompanying music video directed by Jerry Morka. The release marks Fendi’s long-awaited return after what proved to be an illustrious 2023 year for the Chicago native. Following the success of her 2022 song “Point Me to the Sluts”Cardi B hopped on the track’s remix “Point Me 2”, which has since racked up 60 million streams, garnered looks from Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, and stamped Fendi’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Recent single “In The Trunk”, for which she enlisted GloRilla, followed a solid 2023 feature run, including “One Margarita (Margarita Song)”, which saw her link up with Sexyy RedFlo Milli, and That Chick Angel, and “On A Star” with Lil Eazzyy and Raiche. Serving as her first release of 2024, “Show Dat” is a high-octane anthem that finds its roots in Fendi’s trademark fiery flow, the song’s club-ready refrain, and its visual’s explosive narrative.

Hailing from Chicago’s South Side, Fendi first started rapping while she was still in school, later taking work as an armed security guard to support herself while she pursued her dreams. But after a close friend and longtime collaborator passed away, Fendi found new motivation to elevate her music career to the next level. She decided to take a leap of faith and quit her job to pursue rapping full time in 2022, quickly gaining a cult following with singles like “Juke Song” and “Point Me to The Sluts”, which earned her a co-sign from Cardi B when she decided to get on the track’s remix. Now with new single “Show Dat”FendiDa Rappa is continuing her hot streak into 2024 as she prepares to release more music later this year.
