FLATLAND CAVALRY FINDS GRATITUDE IN “STRANGERS & ANGELS”
3X ACM Group of the Year nominees and West Texas Hall of Famers Flatland Cavalry return with new song “Strangers & Angels”. The song appears on the band’s just-announced deluxe album, Work of Heart – Heartstrings, out October 2 via Lost Highway.
Written by Flatland frontman Cleto Cordero with Casey Beathard and Phil O’Donnell, “Strangers & Angels” tells the story of a chance encounter and the profound lessons it taught:

“‘Strangers & Angels’ was a masterclass in songwriting – getting to work alongside Phil O’Donnell and Casey Beathard,” Cordero shares. “They pitched the idea and I feel lucky to have been in the room that day. Building upon the loving emotion Heartstrings offers, it speaks of living with gratitude and treating your neighbor as yourself.”
Adding five new tracks to the March-released original collection of “simple, yet evocative, arrangements that tell the whole history of their musical lives” (No Depression), Flatland expands upon their “stellar catalog of songs” (Billboard).
