FLATLAND CAVALRY RELEASES “HEARTSTRINGS” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO
3X ACM Group of the Year nominees and West Texas Hall of Famers Flatland Cavalry release the official music video for “Heartstrings,” featured on the deluxe edition of their fifth studio album, Work of Heart – Heartstrings, out now via Lost Highway.
Directed by Christopher Beyrooty and filmed in Nashville, TN, the six-minute “Heartstrings” video takes viewers on a nostalgic, flashback trip. Opening in black-and-white before gradually bringing the room to life with bursts of color, the music video reflects the warmth and vivid experience of being in love and proudly pursuing it, regardless of the risks.
“‘Heartstrings’ came from a musical idea our pianist and multi-instrumentalist, Adam Gallegos, brought to the table,” frontman Cleto Cordero shares. “On one of our days off we got together alongside Reid and Jason and chased it down. To me, it sounded like a classic love song and brought forth the image of one following his heart, floating through a relationship on Cloud 9; not weary of naysayers claiming he’s “trippin.” If we’re to trip, tripping on heartstrings seems a noble way to fall.”
Released October 2 via Lost Highway, Work of Heart – Heartstrings adds five new tracks to Flatland Cavalry’s collection, building on their “simple, yet evocative, arrangements that tell the whole history of their musical lives” (No Depression) and further expanding their “stellar catalog of songs” (Billboard) – listen HERE.
