DEBUT ALBUM ‘ACCESS ALL AREAS’ OUT NOVEMBER 15 PRE-ORDER NOW

BRITs Rising Star award winners FLO share a brand-new track ‘Bending My Rules’, lifted from their highly anticipated debut album ‘Access All Areas’, out November 15th, 2024 via Island Records.

‘Bending My Rules’ showcases a softer, more vulnerable side of FLO, as they explore a romantic connection that pushes them to break their own boundaries. It’s a perfect showcase of their vocal talents, featuring lush harmonies and intricate arrangements that convey the raw intensity of their emotions. The single is accompanied by a stunning Vevo studios live performance video, where the girls deliver a beautiful rendition alongside a seven-piece band. Speaking about ‘Bending My Rules’ FLO said: “Bending My Rules is such a captivating song and a softer side of FLO. It shows our vulnerability and it speaks to our current relationships with our boyfriends. It’s hard to be a baddie and a lover girl, but sometimes you just have to Bend Your Rules.”

‘Bending My Rules’ follows FLO’s remix of Kehlani’s ‘8’ and the announcement of their highly anticipated debut album, ‘Access All Areas’ last week. FLO’s debut album is a bold statement that cements their arrival with unapologetic confidence. Executive produced by MNEK, the album effortlessly blends rich tones of R&B and soul with pitched up original samples and futuristic production to create a sound that is both nostalgic and forward thinking. With contagious hooks, stunning harmonies and candid, relatable lyricism, ‘Access All Areas’ serves as a manifesto for the group, highlighting their no-holds-barred approach to songwriting and life. The album delves deep into the themes of love, sisterhood and navigating life as three young Black women, offering fans an intimate glimpse into their experiences.

Speaking about their debut album FLO said: “Access All Areas is a labour of love. To us it represents our growth and dedication to making girl group history, to making a project we are truly proud to call our debut album.”

‘Access All Areas’ marks FLO’s first project since 2023’s surprise fan EP ‘3 of Us’ and 2022’s debut EP ‘The Lead’. It continues to build on the success of the past couple years, which has seen them become the first group to ever win both the BRITs Rising Star Award and the BBC Sound Poll in the same year. The group have since gone on to earn endorsements from the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, SZA, Victoria Monet, Kelly Rowland and more. The album follows a stellar run of singles including ‘Walk Like This’, ‘Caught Up’, ‘Check’ and new single ‘Bending My Rules’.

Last night FLO hosted a special AAA announce party at Hackney’s Colour Factory where they delivered a sensational performance of fan favourite tracks ‘Cardboard Box’, ‘Check’ and ‘Fly Girl’, in addition to previewing songs off their debut album. Next month, FLO will also join Kehlani as a support act on her upcoming Crash World Tour. Kicking off in Minneapolis on September 4th, the huge 30+ date tour will see FLO perform at massive arenas and venues across North America including LA’s Kia Forum and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena to name a few.
