GREEICY PRESENTS HER NEW ALBUM ‘CANDELA’
Colombian multiplatinum singer-songwriter Greeicy officially ignites the flame of ‘CANDELA’, her fourth studio album, one of the most personal productions of her career, and one through which she connects deeply with the essence of her own human experience. The album is available today on all digital platforms via Universal Music Latin.
Following the success of “Limonar”, which has surpassed 2 million creations on TikTok and earned a Gold Single certification in Colombia, “Quiero+”, a track that charted globally on Spotify, reached peaks across multiple Latin American markets, and earned a Platinum Single certification in Colombia, and “Discúlpeme Señor,” which continues gaining momentum across social media thanks to its highly catchy sound, Greeicy now presents ‘CANDELA’, a project arriving with strong audience support: the singles leading up to the album have accumulated over 227 million combined streams.
‘CANDELA’ brings together collaborations with Rawayana, Cultura Profética, La Guru, Calema and Branbel, expanding the project’s sonic universe while blending different shades of Latin pop, Afro rhythms, and tropical influences. As the alchemist behind this new chapter, Greeicy took an active role throughout the creative process, writing alongside artists and songwriters such as Keityn, Kat Dahlia, and Branbel, while collaborating closely with producers including CASTA, Gabo, Arat and Ovy On The Drums to bring the emotional and conceptual world she envisioned for ‘CANDELA’ to life sonically.
The result is an LP that portrays a profoundly personal chapter, shaped by life’s ebbs and flows, yet anchored in a connection to an unexplainable inner force. Each of the 12 songs on the album is built around the concept of inner fire: the energy that ignites the body, moves the soul, inspires movement, elevates every experience, amplifies feeling, and reminds us what it means to be alive.
“Everything that has happened in my life lately is here in this album; everything that has pushed me to keep going is my CANDELA, the one we all carry, the one that drives you, that sets you alight, the one that, when you say ‘I can’t get through this,’ something comes and lights it back up,” Greeicy shared ahead of the release on her social media.

Musically, Greeicy found her vehicle in afrobeats, dancehall, vallenato, mereguetón, reggae, pop, bachata, and rhythms from Colombia’s Pacific coast, including curralao and bunde, all in service of one purpose: to inspire dance. Movement, in her vision, is a primal, nonverbal, universal language, a conduit for human connection.
“I made it my mission to ensure every song on this album lit my ‘CANDELA’, that each one ignited something in me. This album holds so much love; it holds so many people I love deeply, people who have come into my life along the way, friends, beautiful souls, people who work with their whole hearts, people who carry a lot of ‘CANDELA,” she said.
The album arrives led by “Mal O Bien,” its focus track, co-written by Greeicy alongside Keityn, Kat Dahlia, and CASTA, who also serves as the producer, in which she continues her exploration of afrobeats and urban rhythms to tell, in the first person, a story of seduction born of movement.
The song, which also weaves coastal energy into its sonic design, deepens the territory Greeicy opened with singles like “Quiero+,” a track that charted globally across Spotify rankings, and “Estas Ganas,” a conversation about feminine power and sexuality, explored on her own terms: unfiltered yet full of wit; bold yet deeply self-aware.
‘CANDELA’ also features four additional new collaborations: “No Era Mío” with Colombian singer LA GURU, “Dónde, Cuándo y Cuándo?” with Portuguese duo Calema, “Al Lado de Usted” with Cali-born singer Branbel and “Solecito Vení” with multi GRAMMY®-winning Venezuelan band Rawayana.
Rounding out the collaborations is “Mantis” with Cultura Profética, the track that opens the album and, in many ways, encapsulates its entire message: recognizing the flame of life, the intrinsic power of transformation within every human being, and the call to trust even in the face of adversity.
The album is also home to previously released singles “Discúlpeme Señor”, a track currently gaining strong momentum across social media thanks to its highly catchy sound , “Curándote,” and “Limonar”, a breakout success on TikTok with over 2 million creations on the platform —, tracks through which, over the past year, Greeicy has revealed a side of herself deeply attuned to vulnerability, movement, sensuality, and playfulness.
Greeicy will bring the world of ‘CANDELA’ to life on a world tour kicking off July 17 in Tenerife, Spain, with stops across Spain, the United Kingdom, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, among others. Tickets available here.
