HEADSEND ANNOUNCE NEW EP A DELICATE BALANCE OUT NOVEMBER 6TH

Headsend, Music, Entertainment News, New Music, Republic Records

HEADSEND announce their second EP A Delicate Balance, arriving November 6. The five track project features swirling yet heart-hammering new single, dropped today, “Biopsy Of An Unknown Growth”, the blazing statement-of-intent “Free” as well as already live-fan-favourite opus “Slayerish.”

‘A Delicate Balance’ isn’t a story or about ‘anything’. Just a collection of different feelings. I like that songs mean different things to people. I don’t wanna ruin that. That’s the best part.” – Rasmus King

Recorded live in Byron Bay with Nick DiDia, A Delicate Balance, picks up where blistering debut EP Angel Glands left off – their songwriting showcasing new facets of the intense and infectious energy that infuses their live shows.

The accompanying video for “Biopsy Of An Unknown Growth” captures a moment in time – their first ever tour outside Australia – driving across North America supporting Eagles of Death Metal plus a string of raucous headline shows across the US and Canada.

Straight off the back of the US run, last week the band played their long-awaited debut shows in UK – including a triumphant showing at All Points East festival last weekend – which continues tonight (Sept 4) in Glasgow and onto Dublin before multiple shows across Europe including Reeperbahn Festival. Details here.

Built first and foremost as a live band, HEADSEND’s rise has been defined on stage. Known for their intensity and a mammoth live sound that defies what should be possible from a three-piece, Rasmus King, brother Kyuss, and high school friend Bon Soric cast a transfixing presence. From supporting Wunderhorse on their sold-out Australian tour in 2025 to stepping onto arena and stadium stages with Tool and AC/DC, fan demand grew for recordings, resulting in singles “Stove” and “Chugg” followed by debut EP Angel Glands, all recorded live in studio.

From sold-out Sydney headline show in May –  “audiences are transfixed by the band”(Scenestr) – to recent debut international shows supporting Eagles Of Death Metal for summer 2026 across North America –  “…exactly the kind of controlled chaos that genre needs. They played like they had something to prove, because they did” (noflashneeded) – HEADSEND continue to build a reputation as one of Australia’s most compelling heavy bands.
