HOUSTON’S CARTEL BO SHARES SOFTER SIDE ON VALENTINE’S DAY DROP “GET U 2 LEAVE”

Just a week ahead of the release of his highly anticipated PABLO EP, Houston rap heavy hitter Cartel Bo reveals a new side of himself with “Get U 2 Leave”, a romantic track that arrives on Valentine’s Day via Warner Records and Maxo Kream’s Big Persona.

On recent singles like “Go Get Em” featuring Baby Kia and “Tha Kitchen” with That Mexican OT, Cartel Bo has shown off his wit and menace with a scene-stealing verbal intensity. On “Get U 2 Leave,” he’s equally good with the sweet talk, flipping the song’s title as a positive about taking care of a partner who’s loyal: “You deserve to run from everything you’re dealing with and I’m trying to get you to leave / See the world, all you gotta do is take my hand, I want you to grab it and squeeze / All I want is just for you to look me in my eyes and tell me you never gon’ leave.”

The beat throws deep bass and trap drums over a loop that sounds like it was pulled from an old soul song. Directed by Cartel Bo himself, the video is similarly high-class, with the artist and his lady spending a night out in Miami in between shots of him playing piano with a cigar in his teeth. The vibe is warm and intimate, and Cartel Bo isn’t afraid to share his million-dollar smile.

“Get U 2 Leave” hits as fans brace for the February 21 impact of PABLO, while songs like January’s “Tha Kitchen” continue to pick up significant steam, reeling in over 2 million global streams to date. And that’s after the October drop of Cartel Bo’s last EP, CHAPO, which has garnered 3 million streams alongside critical praise with standout tracks like “The Pope,” “Make Em Pay You,” and “You Not Rich” featuring Maxo Kream.

Truly, CHAPO was more than just an EP. It was a grand return — and a moment of redemption and reflection — following a five-year bid. From the viral explosion of “Hoova” featuring Maxo Kream to the jubilant “Fresh Out Tha Fedz,” Cartel Bo was honing his craft all the while gaining a loyal fanbase across Houston and beyond, and preparing to reaffirm his place in the game with PABLO on the horizon.
