Netflix Unveils Date Announcement and First-Look Images for Swedish Crime Thriller ‘Blood Sacrifice’

Time is running out! From George Kay, the creator behind global hit series Lupin and Hijack, comes Blood Sacrifice (previously titled The Case): A gripping new Swedish crime thriller series premiering on August 20 on Netflix.

Starring Jakob Oftebro (Hamilton, Stenbeck) as lead investigator Thomas and Peter Andersson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as his father, former detective Alfred, the series follows the estranged duo as they’re forced into an uneasy alliance to hunt down a brutal killer targeting the police – before time runs out.

The five-part series is produced by B-Reel Films and Observatory Pictures in association with New Pictures, and was filmed on location in Stockholm and the Stockholm archipelago. The series is directed by Kristoffer Nyholm (The Killing, Taboo).
