Hyundai Canada reports September sales with KONA Electric leading in electrified sales
Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. reported total September sales of 11,756 units, a year-over-year increase of 53.0 per cent. The TUCSON (2,890 units), KONA (2,264 units), and ELANTRA (2,247 units) were September’s three best-selling Hyundai models, respectively. September was the strongest month CYTD for KONA ELECTRIC (953 units), TUCSON and ELANTRA. Sales of PALISADE saw a year-over-year increase of 108.8 per cent, with 641 deliveries in September.
Hyundai’s electrified fleet continued to show positive momentum in September with 3,837 units sold, representing over a quarter (32.6 per cent) of the total September sales volume. This includes pure electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. The award-winning KONA ELECTRIC led in pure electrified sales, followed by the IONIQ 5 (433) and IONIQ 6 (273). The hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle variants of TUCSON and SANTA FE all posted year-over-year gains.
