INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTARS KHALID AND LAUV JOIN FORCES ON NEW SINGLE “TIED UP”

Multi-platinum global superstar Khalid returns with his latest single, Tied Up, a collaboration with Lauv, one of pop’s most dominate hitmakers, available now on all streaming. (via Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records.)

Built around understated production and emotionally direct songwriting, “Tied Up” finds Khalid and Lauv trading verses on the tension between connection and uncertainty — a push-and-pull dynamic that plays to both artists’ strengths. Produced by Jay Century, Lucas Sim, and Daniel, and written by Khalid, Lauv, and Michael Matosic, the track marks the first collaboration between Khalid and Lauv, who will also share the stage on Khalid’s upcoming It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour.

“’Tied Up’ is about the push and pull of love. Working with Lauv was effortless, and getting to perform it together on our upcoming tour around the world is going to be a whole different experience.” stated Khalid.

Lauv adds, “Khalid and I have been wanting to make a song together for a long time. we finally got in w/ some homies and had a great time. he’s one of the most talented singers of all time, and such a sick writer and performer. I’m very thankful for this tour! tied up!”

The release continues a prolific run for Khalid, who has remained one of the most consistent voices in modern pop and R&B. Following his 2025 album after the sun goes down, which explored themes of love, self-discovery, and emotional openness, Khalid has continued to expand his sonic range through high-profile collaborations in 2026 including “Save My Love” with Kygo and GRYFFIN, and “Dive Into Me” with Alok.

“Tied Up” arrives just ahead of Khalid’s upcoming “It’s Always Summer Somewhere” North American Tour, a 25-date run that underscores his continued dominance as a live performer.
