Jaguars Announce Practice Squad Signings

The Jaguars have signed CB Quenton Meeks, CB Trevor Williams, WR Damion Willis and DT Gabe Wright to the practice squad, the team announced today. The club’s practice squad now has 14 players.

Meeks was originally signed by Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent in 2018, when he played in eight games with one start as a rookie. The Stanford product most recently spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he was signed to the practice squad in 2019 and played in two games this season.

Williams originally signed with the San Diego Chargers in 2016 after a four-year career at Penn State. From 2016-19, he played in 37 games with 27 starts and tallied 110 tackles, three INTs and one fumble recovery for the Chargers. This season, he spent time on the Eagles’ active roster and practice squad before being released from injured reserve on Oct. 20.

After a standout career at Troy University, Willis signed with Cincinnati as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He played in 10 games as a rookie with the Bengals and made nine catches for 82 yards.

Wright was drafted in the fourth round of the 2015 draft by Detroit after playing collegiately at Auburn. He played in 15 games with Detroit, Cleveland, Miami and Oakland from 2015-18. Most recently, he played in five games for the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL in 2019.
