JAXSON FREE BRINGS “GET GO” TO NEW HEIGHTS WITH “SKYLINE SESSIONS”

Chart-topping songwriter Jaxson Free delivers a stripped down version of his latest single “Get Go” with a new live version recorded on a rooftop in Nashville. “Get Go (Skyline Sessions),” produced by Free himself, is the first of his Skyline Sessions series, which features the BMI Award-winning talent delivering raw performances, accentuated by the atmospheric backdrop. Featuring Jaxson and just an acoustic guitar, the video highlights the North Carolina’s musicianship and soulful vocals.
“I’ve been wanting to play this song live for fans ever since we wrote it so it was really cool to see a lot of people asking in the comments ‘when can we see you live?’ and ‘when are you going on tour?’. We came up with the ‘Skyline Sessions’ as a way to give them a taste before I finally hit their city.”
“Get Go,” which has earned more than 300,000 on demand streams captures the feeling of a situationship that never stood a chance. With a galloping beat, soothing acoustic guitar and southern inflections, Free’s vocals add an emotional weight with tones that are somehow both gravelly and silky. The original was produced by Chris LaCorte and written by Free with label-mate Jacob Hackworth as well as Ned Cameron, Adrien Nunez, Chase McDaniel and LaCorte. “Get Go” is Free’s first single release with Goat Island.

Following a string of indie releases, one of which even made “President Obama’s Favorite Songs of 2019” playlist, Free moved to Nashville from Raleigh, signed to Goat Island and has become one of the most in-demand songwriters; penning hits for everyone from Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Lana Del Rey, Quavo and more.
Free, who just clinched his third No. 1 as a songwriter with Thomas Rhett’s “After All The Bars Are Closed,” was recently honored at the BMI Awards for his second No. 1 song, “I Can Feel It” by Kane Brown. His first No.1 “Thank God” by Kane and Katelyn Brown recently inspired the recently-released Lifetime Christmas movie “Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch.” Free is currently working on new music and gearing up to announce touring plans.
