JENEVIEVE RELEASES REFLECTIVE NEW SINGLE “LOVE QUOTES”

Today, rising L.A.-based recording artist Jenevieve releases “Love Quotes”, a reflective single that details the skepticism and vulnerability that accompany a relationship that’s starting to show its cracks. The emotional track follows the upbeat “2NLuv” and the deluxe edition of her acclaimed debut project Division.

Coasting over an ambient, synth-led instrumental, Jenevieve recalls conflicts with her lover before concluding that she might be better off alone. “I don’t need somebody to hold when it gets cold and I shiver,” the genre-blurring artist sings. Resolute yet weary, “Love Quotes” is a breakup anthem drenched in humanity. It captures the essence of Jenevieve, an uncompromising artist who uses gentle, sensuous vocals and naked sensitivity to strike at the heart of modern love.

“Love Quotes” arrives weeks after the release of “2NLuv,” a sultry single that explores Jenevieve’s search for romantic reciprocity. The track, which fuses gauzy R&B with silky house rhythms, was the first single recorded at Rockstar Energy Spotlight Studios. It came after April’s Division Deluxe, an extended version of her debut project. That project featured all the shapeshifting songwriting Jenevieve has become known for, as well as guest spots from the likes of 2 Chainz and Ghostface Killah.

With her tantalizing blend of supple melodies and soul-baring lyrics — which have earned praise from Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar, Pitchfork, NPR, and more — Jenevieve reminds us that the next class of women in music still has so much more to say. Outside of the studio, Jenevieve recently performed at Sacramento’s Sol Blume music festival and at Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery with Jorja Smith. Next, she will support Giveon on tour this fall.
