JENNA RAINE GIVES US ALL A LITTLE GRACE WITH NEW SINGLE “JUST 15”

Jenna Raine, New Music, Music, Singer, Songwriter, Entertainment News, Warner Records

Emerging artist Jenna Raine returns with her immensely relatable new single, “Just 15”, out now via Warner Records. With an open heart and generous spirit, the sweeping Americana song is all about forgiving ourselves and each other for the choices we made when we were young and figuring it out.

“Just 15” opens with spare guitar and a quiet intimacy as Jenna sings, “Visiting on Christmas break, childhood house has got a way of making insecurities come out.” We feel like we’re there in her room with her as she flashes back on youthful regrets, but as the instrumentation opens up to include sprawling pedal steel, twinkling banjo, and a powerful rhythm section, she leads us out into the light: “If you slammed the door on the mother you ignored, it’s okay to give yourself some grace / Take it from me, you weren’t mean, you were just 15.” It’s a healing moment.

“Just 15 is about me going home to Texas and being reminded of all the mistakes and insecurities I had growing up. I think back on the times I hurt friends, argued with my parents, and tried too hard to fit in, and I still feel some of that guilt. But writing this song was my way of forgiving my younger self and remembering that I wasn’t mean—I was just 15 and still figuring life out” says Jenna.

The new release arrives as Jenna hits the road on Avery Anna’s The Let Go Letters Tour — tickets and info HERE — and follows September’s “Talk of the Town,” an unabashedly upbeat pop tune that doubles as a jubilant girl-gets-the-guy tale. “Talk of the Town” was the Dallas, Texas-born singer and songwriter’s first solo single since April’s Only Started Growing EP, which featured the viral hit “Roses,” plus fan favorites “21,” “Good Grief,” and “Who I Am.” She followed with her first-ever headline tour in June with a detour to sing “God Bless America” at a Texas Rangers game. The next month, she teamed up with North Carolina riser Caleb Hearn for the moving folk-pop duet, “BITE THE BULLET.”

Jenna takes life’s little lessons, moments of bliss, and unforgettable memories and turns them into the kind of pop music that you’ve got to sing with the windows down. She’s tallied nearly 500 million total streams to date fueled by early hits like “It Is What It Is” and “see you later (ten years).” Jenna’s breakout success has led to a performance at the 2023 MTV VMAs Block Party, recognition from Rolling Stone, Billboard, and V Magazine, and two covers of Girls’ Life Magazine. She has also collaborated with artists like Australian Christian luminary Aodhán King on “Still Worthy” and pop singer Joshua Bassett on “Don’t Let Me Down.”

With “Just 15” once again displaying her signature ability to enchant fans with moving lyrics, unforgettable hooks, and a resilient outlook, Jenna Raine is poised to bloom into the new year.
