JOAQUINA SHINES AS OPENING ACT FOR MORAT’S FINAL ‘LOS ESTADIOS: ANTES DE QUE AMANEZCA’ TOUR STOP IN MEXICO CITY
Fast rising Venezuelan American singer-songwriter JOAQUINA fascinated an audience of over 55,000 fans at Mexico City’s iconic GNP Stadium, opening for MORAT’s final stop of their highly anticipated stadium tour, ‘LOS ESTADIOS: ANTES DE QUE AMANEZCA.’
With a powerful stage presence and her distinctive voice, Joaquina performed some of her most biggest hits to date including “Quise Quererte,” “No Llames Lo Mío Nuestro,” “Pesimista,” “Todo y Nada” and fan-favorite, “Rabia.” Similarly, the most special moment of the night came when Joaquina exclusively presented her unreleased and emotional pop song “Capricho,” that is featured on the talented singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album ‘al romper la burbuja.’
About opening for MORAT’S final show Joaquina expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to perform in front of such a massive audience and says, “I feel very grateful to be part of this moment and to have the opportunity to open this important show for Morat, a band that I admire so much. Their music has been with me for many years, and it is a huge dream of mine to play with them in such an iconic place as the GNP Stadium in Mexico City. I know it will be a day I will remember forever, and I absorbed and enjoyed every second of it!”
This memorable night follows her recent surprise guest appearance at MORAT’S stadium show in El Salvador, where she performed a special version “Rabia” alongside the Colombian Latin Pop-Rock band.
Similarly, Joaquina’s journey with MORAT also includes opening for their ‘Si Ayer Fuera Hoy’ U.S. tour earlier this year, where she took the stage in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Miami.
With a release date for January 31, 2025, Joaquina is poised to take the industry by storm with her debut album, ‘Al Romper La Burbuja’ which promises to be an intimate and fascinating work that combines influences from iconic English and Spanish singer-songwriters, global contemporary artists and renowned poets, reflecting her love for literature and her bicultural identity.
‘Al romper la burbuja’ invites us to learn more about Joaquina and her unique approach, with songs that photograph in detail special moments in her life and become shareable and relatable stories.
This highly anticipated album captures Joaquina’s artistic growth in her twenties, placing her place as one of the most promising voices of the new generation.
