Khal!l Embraces Love, Faith, and Uncertainty on Vulnerable New Album Oh, The Doubt Among Us

Milwaukee-born artist, producer, and songwriter Khal!l unveils his new album Oh, The Doubt Among Us, available now to stream HERE via Roc Nation Distribution. The release is accompanied by a double-feature music video for “IF ONLY” / “PROMISE” set to premiere on October 26.

Rooted in themes of self-discovery, faith, and personal growth, Oh, The Doubt Among Us explores the complexity that comes with change and the challenge of trusting what lies ahead. Much of the 14-track album was recorded inside a church owned by Khal!l’s godmother in Milwaukee, a setting that helped shape its honest, introspective perspective. Across the project, he reflects on navigating doubt while remaining open to connection, spiritual conviction, and the possibility of finding clarity amid life’s uncertainties.

“IF ONLY,” the album’s focus track, captures the hopeful anticipation of learning that romantic feelings may be mutual, pairing an old-school-inspired beat with Khal!l’s signature harmonies. His latest single, “I CONFESS” explores the inner conflict of watching a relationship change without fully understanding why. Its recently released music video brings the song’s introspective narrative to life.

Throughout his catalog, Khal!l has developed a genre-fluid sound that draws from R&B, Soul, Electronic, Alternative & Funk. For Oh, The Doubt Among Us, he took an especially hands-on approach, producing, performing, mixing, and mastering the project. The church setting where much of the album was recorded further grounded its sound and perspective, reinforcing the themes of faith and honesty woven throughout the project.

Khal!l first established his distinctive sound with breakout single “Kawasaki,” which surpassed one million streams and paved the way for his debut album HEART and its expanded edition, HEART: Melodies of the Eternal Flame. He continued expanding his creative range with For When, The Sun Drops, exploring alternative soul and electronic influences across tracks including “THE WATCHER,” “the prophecy,” and “for when.” More recent releases such as “DANGER,” “MY FEET,” “Communication,” have further showcased his ability to move between sounds and emotional registers while keeping his songwriting at the center.
