JOHN MAUS RELEASES NEW ALBUM “LATER THAN YOU THINK”

American musician, composer, and academic John Maus releases his long-awaited seventh album Later Than You Think on YOUNG. Arriving alongside the album’s release is a hysterical, new music video directed by Blake James Reid, starring John Maus, for a song called “Disappears”.

A meditation on endurance and transformation, Later Than You Think spans 16 tracks and, at its core, reaffirms John Maus’ dedication to radical sincerity and emotional truth in an age of alienation.

John Maus’ return to the stage reaffirms his cult status and the unparalleled intensity of his live presence, captured unfiltered in his recent HLPtv performance of “Came & Got,” “Because We Built It,” “I Hate Antichrist,” “Bennington,” and “And Heaven Turned To Her Weeping.”

Around these performances, he opened up in rare, in-depth interviews with Stereogum and Sammy’s World, where he reflected on his philosophy, creative process and the emotional weight behind his music.

Supporting Later Than You Think, Maus will embark on a global headline tour, kicking off tonight in Brooklyn, NY at a sold-out show at Warsaw. The 59-date North American and European run includes headline sets at festivals such as C2C in Turin, End of the Road in the UK, and MIRA in Barcelona. Full list of dates below.
