JORJA SMITH UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “THE WAY I LOVE YOU”
Fresh off the back of her North American tour, acclaimed British singer Jorja Smith storms back into the spotlight with her first single of 2025 – the bass-heavy masterpiece “The Way I Love You”, a bold new statement in her ever-evolving sonic journey.
“The Way I Love You” is just so much fun. It takes me back in time – there’s something nostalgic about it but now at the same time. I had the pleasure of working with Maverick Sabre, Ed Thomas and Shayk on this one. Every time I play it with my girls, I get so hyped – it’s a proper head-skanker,” Jorja says of the record.
The single arrives alongside a striking new video directed by KC Locke, which sees Jorja fully in her rave era – channeling the track’s energy and nostalgia through euphoric visuals and vibrant nightlife scenes. The video also pays homage to the legendary Niche Night Club in Sheffield – a cornerstone of the Midlands bassline scene – with a direct nod to its iconic logo, making the inspiration behind the aesthetic unmistakably clear. Following the success of her recent feature on AJ Tracey’s garage offering “Crush” and collaborations with Shygirl and Major League DJz, “The Way I Love You” further solidifies Jorja’s ability to straddle any genre she encounters. Whether it’s R&B, soul, pop, or bassline, Smith consistently delivers with depth and flair.
