JUANES RELEASES “NACIMOS SOLOS,” THE FIRST SOUNDTRACK SINGLE FROM PRIME VIDEO’S UPCOMING NEW ZORRO SERIES
THIS MARKS THE FIRST NEW JUANES RELEASE SINCE HIS WORK FOR THE CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED ‘VIDA COTIDIANA’ ALBUM, WHICH RESULTED IN HIS 25THLATIN GRAMMY AWARD, NINTH GRAMMY NOMINATION, AND GIVES TITLE TO HIS U.S. TOUR BEGINNING IN FEBRUARY
28-Time GRAMMY & LATIN GRAMMY winner JUANES premieres “Nacimos Solos” (‘We Were Born Alone’) as the first advance soundtrack single from Prime Video’s upcoming new ZORRO series. Written and produced by Julio Reyes Copello, and available via all major DSP’s and a YouTube lyric video, the new song on the uncertainty within a hard life’s journey, appropriately sees the famed “La Camisa Negra” rock singer/songwriter provide the first music from the upcoming new look at the fabled black masked cultural hero.
“Nacimos Solos” marks Juanes’ first new song release after the creative cycle for his critically-acclaimed ‘VIDA COTIDIANA’ album – which received an expanded (DELUXE VERSION) release in September. The album sees Juanes meshing his immersive return to his electric guitar rock roots with a deep dive back into his own long-praised skill as an ardent songwriter – who this time turned his focus inward during the pandemic to reexamine his matured take on life, love, family, social concerns and more. With NPR, Billboard, Rolling Stone, and more declaring “VIDA COTIDIANA” among ‘The Best Latin Music of 2023 (so far),’ the album recently resulted in Juanes receiving his 25th career LATIN GRAMMY award (extending the Colombian music icon’s status as The Latin Recording Academy’s most honored solo artist of all time). Additional recognition from fellow musicians also brought a “Best Latin Rock Or Alternative Album” nomination for February’s 66 Annual GRAMMY Awards, giving Juanes’ his ninth career GRAMMY nomination.
As Juanes’ first album created with the members of his long-time touring band totally immersed in the recording sessions, it is no surprise that it has been a natural dynamic transition to the live stage, with the VIDA COTIDIANA WORLD TOUR already enthralling fans around the world, and an eagerly awaited North American tour leg set to begin on February 13th.
