JULIO JARAMILLO RETURNS TO THE STAGE 45 YEARS AFTER HIS PASSING, THANKS TO JUAN FERNANDO VELASCO
Forty-five years after his death, the legendary Julio Jaramillo has returned to the stage through the voice and vision of Juan Fernando Velasco, in a musical experience that marks a milestone in Ecuadorian music history.
The cities of Cuenca, Guayaquil, and Quito witnessed an emotional, technologically impressive, and deeply moving concert, with sold-out shows and audiences moved to tears as the “Nightingale of the Americas” reappeared in life-size holographic form before their eyes.
Through a spectacular technological achievement using artificial intelligence, Velasco successfully isolated and restored the original voice of Julio Jaramillo, projecting it with a majestic, full-scale holographic presence. The result was a duet concert between two generations, where both artists, separated by decades, shared the stage to perform Latin American classics such as “Cinco Centavitos,” “Nuestro Juramento,” “Ódiame,” and more songs that have defined the soul of a continent.
The concert also featured Velasco’s most iconic hits, crafting a living narrative that bridged past and present, leaving audiences visibly moved. With impeccable staging, immersive sound, and a hologram of stunning realism, the production paid tribute to Jaramillo without freezing him in time.
Following the overwhelming success in Ecuador, Velasco now brings the Julio Eterno Tour to the United States, with 20 confirmed dates this October. The tour promises to deliver the same magical and emotional experience, taking Julio Jaramillo’s voice, legacy, and image to international stages.
