KALI UCHIS RECEIVES FOUR NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2024 LATIN GRAMMY® AWARDS
Multi-platinum selling and GRAMMY-award winning global superstar Kali Uchis has received four nominations for the 25th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards. Kali was recognized under the Record of the Year and Best Pop Song categories for her global smash hit “Igual Que Un Ángel” featuring Peso Pluma, Best Reggaeton Performance for the Karol G-featured “Labios Mordidos,” and Best Pop Vocal Album for her critically acclaimed fourth studio album, ‘ORQUÍDEAS.’
The 2024 Latin GRAMMYs® will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, FL. The award ceremony will be broadcast live on Univision beginning at 8pm EST.
Uchis’ nominations follow the release of her latest album, ‘ORQUÍDEAS PARTE 2’, the deluxe version of her chart-topping, ‘ORQUÍDEAS.’ ‘ORQUÍDEAS PARTE 2’ features four brand new tracks including the Kaytranada remix of “Young Rich & In Love”.
At the beginning of the year, Kali released her fourth studio album ‘ORQUÍDEAS’ to wide critical acclaim – marking her largest album debut to date, earning over 290 million global streams. The album also debuted on the Billboard 200 at #2 and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums with over 51 million streams and 69,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week. ‘ORQUÍDEAS’ has already landed Kali on multiple best album of the year lists from the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, and numerous others.
‘ORQUÍDEAS,’ Kali’s second Spanish-language album, featured superstar collaborations from Peso Pluma, Karol G, El Alfa, City Girls’ JT, and Rauw Alejandro, and came stacked with hits like “Te Mata,” Kali’s top Latin single debut to date, and “Labios Mordidos” featuring Colombian singer Karol G which has amassed over 107 million global streams and 47 million views on YouTube to date. The standout single from the album, “Igual Que Un Ángel” with Peso Pluma, debuted at #1 on Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs chart and currently has over 310 million streams on Spotify alone.
