KAROL G RELEASES “IVONNY BONITA” MUSIC VIDEO FOLLOWING GLOBAL BROADCAST EVENT “LA PREMIERE”

GRAMMY®-winning global recording artist KAROL G has released the music video for the fan-favorite track “Ivonny Bonita” from her critically acclaimed album “Tropicoqueta.” Directed by Carolina Giraldo, Pedro Artola, and STILLZ, and produced by Bichota Films, the video shows KAROL G in a dark, misty forest, where chains symbolize the limitations she ultimately breaks free from. Through instinctive and liberating movement, she connects with a higher version of herself, using self-expression as a source of strength. In its final moments, she rises from the flames as a fierce, untamed presence, radiating raw energy and unstoppable power.

The release follows the broadcast of “La PremiEre,” a Bichota Films production that stands as the most ambitious and visionary project in the “Tropicoqueta” universe. This groundbreaking immersive experience expanded the album’s reach through 12 reimagined tracks, new arrangements and an array of special guest appearances. The production featured iconic Latin cultural figures, including Blue Demon Jr., Lyn May, La Tigresa del Oriente and Brazilian vedette Valeria Valensa and was introduced by the legendary Don Francisco. It was presented as an unprecedented global event that united millions of viewers across more than forty countries simultaneously.

Running nearly 50 minutes, “La PremiEre” was a year in the making, filmed across Mexico City, Los Angeles and the iconic backdrops of Cartagena and Medellín. As the album rolled out earlier this year, KAROL G was simultaneously shaping the concept, storyline and overall execution of this singular audiovisual project, resulting in an unprecedented tribute to Tropicoqueta’s music and to Latin culture at large. Standout moments included a live vallenato ensemble, a 57-piece orchestra and the participation of more than 200 fans in the “Coleccionando Heridas” segment, where they shared personal stories of healing during a special unplugged session with KAROL G and Marco Antonio Solís at the historic Estudios Churubusco in Mexico City.
