KAYCYY DROPS NEW SINGLE & MUSIC VIDEO “ROLL THE DICE” PRODUCED BY RENOWED FRENCH PRODUCER GESAFFELSTEIN

TW2052 EP TO BE RELEASED MAY 26

Conjuring up another sonic era, enigmatic rising artist KayCyy returns with a new single and music video entitled “ROLL THE DICE” produced by frequent collaborator and legendary producer Gesaffelstein out today on Columbia Records. It paves the way for the release of their second EP,TW2052, to be released on May 26. TW2052 is the follow up to the 3-song TW20 50 EP Gesaffelstein produced for KayCyy in 2022. 

On the track, off-kilter orchestration gives way to a warm beat underneath KayCyy’s fluttering high register. His icy vocals echo with a promise, “You and I…we’ll survive anything side by side.” Helmed by 91 Rules [VOGUE, Ivy Park, Mooseknuckles, Equinox], the accompanying visual translates this ethereal vibe to the screen. Donning a fuzzy off-the-runway black coat, he addresses the camera, gets a new neck tattoo, and rolls dice in a series of evocative and entrancing vignettes.

It continues a prolific season for the 25-year-old East Africa-born artist, arriving in the wake of “MOTOWN” [feat. BabyTron]. Beyond piling up over 1 million total streams, Complex touted the latter on “The Best New Music This Week” and dubbed it “a bar-heavy record that finds KayCyy delivering thoughtful raps that reflect on various moments in his life.” Our Generation Music attested, “With KayCyy’s melodic style meeting Tron’s endless wordplay, ‘MOTOWN’ set off fireworks galore.”

Thus far, KayCyy has earned a Grammy Award for his work on Kanye West’sDonda, piled up tens of millions of streams and earned praise from the likes of Entertainment Tonight, Pigeons and Planes, Complex, and many others and was included on the coveted 2022 XXL Magazine Freshman list.
