The Fillmore was filled with reggae vibes Wednesday night when Koffee’s The Gifted Tour made a stop in Philadelphia. The Jamaican and Nigerian line up did not disappoint! West Indies vibes in full effect!
The DJ had fans hip whining to some new and throwback reggae jams. If their hips wasn’t whining, they had their drinks in the air jamming. He was giving reggae club vibes.
Genrus opened the show with his new single Switch It Up. Although he wasn’t on stage long, he left a great impression on the crowd with this smooth vocals and subtle dance moves that are reminiscence of Michael Jackson. He’s a definitely an artist to be on the lookout for.

Nigerian Afro-fusion BNXN, formerly known as Buju, was up next. Philly was ready to turn up with with him! BNXN got the crowd hype with music from his latest album “Sorry I’m Late” and “Mood”, a feature he did with Wizkid.

Koffee blessed the stage with her band sounding amazing! No DJ needed to spine her tracks and I’m here for all of that. Having a band gives a different vibe to any concert. Fans had their phone in the air capturing her laid back stage presence. She opened her set with her “Rapture” from her Grammy Award winning debut EP. Fans didn’t skip a beat while singing along to “Pull Up”, “Lockdown, “Pressure”, just to name a few. She closed out her performance with an encore of my favorite song, “Toast”.

Each artist on the tour is truly gifted and dope with their unique style. If you love West Indies music and live music, you’ll definitely love The Gifted Tour. This isn’t the type of show where you’ll be sitting down. You’re sure to be out your seat dancing all night, so make sure to wear some comfortable shoes and clothing.
