Larry June At The Tabernacle in Atlanta
Written & Captured By | Bernice Martin
I wasn’t very familiar with Larry June, but I his name came up in music conversations with my friends a few times. When I received the opportunity to shoot his concert, I couldn’t pass it up. My curiosity was intense, and naturally I wanted to see who this guy was, and what his music was all about.
His show was at the iconic Tabernacle located in the heart of the city of Atlanta. It’s an old opera house turned concert hall, where the setting is intimate yet spacious. Media was allowed to walk in through the back door where we entered behind the stage. I was led to the photography pit, and immediately noticed that the entire building was filled to capacity.

Larry comes on stage and immediately brings the energy. His fan base was excited rapping his lyrics word for word right along with him. He has a laid-back west coast flow which is aligned with his roots being from the Bay Area California. His stage presence was magnetic, and his audience was enchanted.
If you have the opportunity to see Larry June live in your city, grab your close friends, bring a spliff and enjoy the vibes.
