At the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, LeAnn Rimes stunned the crowd with a show-stopping rendition of her legendary hit song, “Blue”. Performed as part of the show’s 12-minute, all-star set of ACM Songs of the Year from the past six decades, the moment found LeAnn reimagining her ACM Song of the Year-winning hit as an orchestral masterpiece, complete with cinematic strings.

Amazon Music is proud to exclusively release the studio version of LeAnn Rimes’ new take on her iconic song. Recorded during rehearsals for her ACM performance, the Amazon Music Original version of “Blue” delivers the same classical triumph that viewers experienced last night. The song is now available for fans to hear exclusively on Amazon Music here.

“‘Blue’ has always held such a special place in my heart. I was just a kid when it found its way into the world, and I never could’ve imagined how far it would take me,” said LeAnn Rimes. “That night at the ACMs—when the song was recognized, and I was too—will always stay with me. I’m so grateful to share this new version through Amazon Music, as a tribute to the song that started it all and to the people who’ve loved it right alongside me.”

The ACM, Prime Video, and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) hosted the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards and celebrated industry luminaries as well as rising stars and recognized the year’s biggest accomplishments. 16-time ACM Award-winning entertainment icon, Reba McEntire, hosted the two-and-a-half-hour commercial-free event, which streamed live for an international audience across 240+ countries and territories exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch from the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The show celebrated the 60th anniversary by opening with an electric 12-minute all-star medley featuring Clint Black, Dan + Shay, LeAnn Rimes, Little Big Town, Reba McEntire, and Wynonna Judd who highlighted ACM Songs of the Year from the past six decades. In addition to LeAnn Rimes’ performance of “Blue” fans were treated to new renditions of “Okie from Muskogee,” “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Why Not Me,” “Blue,” “Girl Crush,” and “Tequila.”

Fans can hear LeAnn Rimes’s reimagined version of “Blue” on the “Country Heat” playlist or by simply asking “Alexa, play the Amazon Original from LeAnn Rimes” in the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android, and on Alexa-enabled devices.
