LEFTY GUNPLAY & JASONMARTIN SHARE COLLAB ALBUM CAN’T GET RIGHT
Los Angeles rapper Lefty Gunplay shares a brand album in collaboration with JasonMartin (fka Problem) called Can’t Get Right. Across fifteen tracks, Lefty raps introspective lyrics and tells vulnerable stories of his life growing up and everything since his first year as a rap artist – under the musical development, supervision, and production of LA mainstays JasonMartin and and Mike & Keys (cred: Nipsey Hussle, Kendrick Lamar). Can’t Get Right features include Wallie the Sensei, The Game, Ty Dolla $ign, RJmrLA, YS, Osbe Chill, Kiing Khash, Storm Debarge, and Negra. Lefty also shares the music video for “CRACKS IN THE CEILING” which recounts an experience Lefty had in a recent jail stint – watch HERE. Previously released music videos include “Gangsters Get Scared,” “Can’t Get Right,” and “Heavens Above (My Angel)” which contains a sample from Amanda Perez’s acclaimed early 2000’s record.
Lefty gained widespread notoriety as a feature on “TV Off” from Kendrick Lamar’s surprise GNX album at the end of last year. The record debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 – marking Lefty’s first entry – and also reached No.1 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Rap Airplay and Rhythmic Airplay Charts. He’s since gained praise from VIBE, Los Angeles Times, Billboard, Complex, Remezcla, Genius, and many more.
