LEONEL GARCÍA works his magic with a sold-out night at EL CANTORAL Ciudad de México

What’s clear with LEONEL GARCÍA is that he was born for music. This past Saturday, Mexico’s most important singer-songwriter delivered one of his most memorable performances in CDMX. The musician and producer captivated the audience at El Cantoral concert hall with an evening full of emotion, where he shared songs from his unexpected new album EL SHOW, timeless classics of his own authorship, and an extraordinary vocal performance.

Known for its intimate atmosphere and impressive acoustic and lighting system, El Cantoral felt like home for LEONEL GARCÍA. From the very first moments, it was clear this would be a special night. The newly released tracks “Desierto” and “Dueto” were chosen to open the setlist, which featured around twenty songs from the artist with a 25-year career.

One of the most celebrated moments of the first half of the show came when the singer-songwriter was joined on stage by emerging artist Arath Herce for a performance of “El Show,” the title track of his latest album.

EL SHOW, released just last week, is an album produced by LEONEL GARCÍA
himself. It comes shortly after the release of his previous record, ARENBI.
Intimate and unfiltered, EL SHOW marks GARCÍA’s return to his most authentic
and genuine self, featuring 12 completely original tracks.

With songs like “Miento,” “Sales como el Sol,” “Pero No Así,” “Que Lloro,” “Me Dediqué a Perderte,” and “Pausa,” among others, fans were treated to a deeply emotional experience. LEONEL GARCÍA proved once again that his passion for music is unbreakable.

Emotionally charged and nostalgic lyrics, combined with a pitch-perfect voice, were the key ingredients for a night to remember. This was a significant date for LEONEL GARCÍA, marking his return to the venue where he recorded his first live album: Acústico – Desde la Sala Telefónica del Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral (2014).

Now, the singer-songwriter is preparing to continue El Show tour, following sold-out performances in Barcelona, Madrid, London, and Buenos Aires. This summer, he will also visit Ecuador, Bolivia, and Peru, before returning to Mexico to reunite with his duo, Sin Bandera, for upcoming projects.
