LIFETIME TO KICK OFF NETWORK’S WINTER LOVE OF A LIFETIME SLATE ON JANUARY 24 WITH NEW ORIGINAL MOVIE, TONI BRAXTON’S BREATHE AGAIN, STARRING TONI BRAXTON, CREE SUMMER AND ESSENCE ATKINS

Off the success of Lifetime’s Love of a Lifetime slate this past fall which reached 5.6 million Total Viewers*. Lifetime announces the premiere date for Toni Braxton’s Breathe Again, the highly-anticipated second film in the network’s previously announced multi-picture partnership with Grammy® Award winner Toni Braxton (He Wasn’t Man Enough, Unbreak My Heart, Faith Under Fire: The Antoinette Tuff Story). Debuting Saturday, January 24 at 8/7c, the film marks the latest collaboration with Braxton and Lifetime and continues the tradition of projects defined by emotional resonance, resilience, and authentic storytelling. The movie kicks off the winter slate which also includes the sequel to the fan-favorite 2024 film Tempted by Love – Terry McMillan’s Tempted 2 Love starring Garcelle Beauvais and Boris Kodjoe – premiering on January 31 at 8/7c, as well as a special encore airing of an extended version of Terry McMillan’s His, Hers and Ours starring Taye Diggs and Lesley-Ann Brandt on February 14 at 10/9c.
Toni Braxton’s Breathe Again reunites Braxton with NAACP Image Award nominee Essence Atkins (He Wasn’t Man Enough, First Wives Club) and also stars Emmy® Award winner Cree Summer (A Different World, Rugrats). Breathe Again follows three women, Jennifer (Braxton), Vanessa (Summer), and Evelyn (Atkins), whose worlds collide when they meet as contestants on a reality dating show and suffer heartbreak under the spotlight. Their shared rejection sparks an unlikely sisterhood that carries them from Los Angeles to a new life in Seattle. There, they navigate fresh starts, second chances, and the messy realities of dating, friendship, and family. Jennifer rediscovers her voice as an artist, Vanessa rebuilds her interior design business while opening herself to love again, and Evelyn faces her grief by daring to embrace joy and possibility. Along the way, the women learn that while romance may come and go, friendship is the love story that lasts a lifetime.
Toni Braxton’s Breathe Again brings back the creative team behind the hit He Wasn’t Man Enough, with Braxton, Tanya Lopez, and Kenneth Crear once again serving as executive producers, joined by Howard Braunstein for Lifetime. Stan Brooks also reprises his role as director and executive producer.
