“LITTLE BIRDS” AROUND TOWN ARE ALL TALKING ABOUT ELIZABETH NICHOLS’ GOSSIPY NEW TRACK
Fast-rising Country newcomer Elizabeth Nichols drops a cautionary bop for the gossips with her new track “Little Birds,” available now via PULSE Records. The cheeky little ditty plays with the phrase “a little bird told me…” and comments on just how quickly word can get around a town, especially when everybody knows each other. The humorous tune was written by Nichols, Travis Heidelman (who produced the track) and Feli Ferraro.
“Since I moved from Tulsa to Nashville, every week my friends call me and update me about everything going on with exes and friends and what people were saying about me (good and bad),” laughed Elizabeth. “It was like I hadn’t even left even though I was 800 miles away! It just goes to show, it doesn’t matter where you are or how old you are, people love spilling tea and yapping about other people…but sometimes they forget, the grapevine is much shorter in a small town.”

After teasing on socials, the light-hearted tune has already racked up more than 4 million views, hundreds of TikTok videos and more than 9,000 pre-saves. Elizabeth is steadily building an engaged following and releasing music in accordance with fan-demand, as was the case with the August release of the viral gut-punch ballad “Daughter” and several tracks from her debut EP Tough Love, including the chart-topping “I Got A New One,” which received the Kellyoke treatment on The Kelly Clarkson Show and shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Country chart (for weeks). The cover and Nichols’ response captured the internet’s attention and has earned more than 19 million streams after she debuted at No. 25 on Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart and found its way into the Top 45 on Apple’s Today’s Country Playlist, on Amazon’s Country Heat playlist, as well as Spotify‘s Viral Charts in the US, Australian, Norway, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand and landed her as June’s Billboard’sCountry Rookie of the Month.
